World of Women’s ArtFest reminds Web3 of the true value of community

ith the noise of memecoin season dying down, the NFT space is turning its eyes back to what makes up the heart and soul of the community: art. For those wishing to dive into the cultural side of Web3 (or interested in checking out one of the most community-based NFT projects out there), World of Women Spring ArtFest is a must.

Women’s World is a household name in the NFT world. Launched by artist Yum Karkai in an effort to represent and onboard women in Web3, the brand’s two main collections – World of Women and World of Women Galaxy – have raised over 113,452 ETH ($200 million) in total volume . WOW Collection Holders at various utilities and IRL events is an initiative to support and bring attention to diverse and underrepresented artists in the space. ArtFest, WOW’s quarterly celebration of creativity, is one of them.

Illuminate Adelaide fires up 2024 festival of light and music

Illuminate Adelaide has announced details of its 2024 program, an intersecting array of light, music and technology taking over the city from 4–21 July.

Among this year’s music highlights are Dutch pianist Joep Beving, British electronic musician Max Cooper, Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, Australian bassist Helen Svoboda and UK artist The Caretaker.

For the past 40 years, a plethora of local and regional artists gather in North Charleston to unveil their works at dozens of community events as spring begins. And this year is no different.

The 41st annual North Charleston Arts Festival takes place May 1-5, celebrating visual arts, theater, dance, literature and music with a variety of exhibits, performances and activities.

This year’s festival will hold more than 30 events across the city of North Charleston that are free to attend, including art demonstrations, kids’ programs and an Arty Block Party.
