Jacksonville tattoo and art gallery holding Cool Kids Kits giveback event for students in need
A Jacksonville tattoo and art gallery is working to help as many students as possible this back-to-school season with the launch of their Cool Kids Kits event.
Harm the Karma Tattoo & Art Gallery has been open for about a decade and is veteran-owned and operated. The Jacksonville shop is located at 110 Liberty Drive, but they also have a sister shop at 175 Midway Park called Dark Artisan Tattoo, and another shop in Greenville. All three studios are participating in the event.
“For us, we strive to provide the best possible experience to our clientele, trying to improve on what you think your basic tattoo shop is,” said Harm the Karma Head Manager Anthony Lopez. “We take art very seriously, and one of the biggest pillars of our company is doing stuff for the community.”

Three in five small UK museums and galleries fear closure amid declining revenue, new research suggests
Three in five small museums and galleries in the UK fear closure amid declining revenue and footfall, research published this week suggests. The survey of 40 small, independent attractions—those with fewer than 100,000 annual visitors—also found that four in five (78%) reported the current period as the most challenging the sector has faced, while over half (58%) said overall income has not returned to its pre-Covid levels.
The research, conducted by the cloud platform GoDaddy in partnership with the charity Kids in Museums, surveyed small museums as well as galleries, historic buildings and heritage sites. Alison Bowyers, the executive director of Kids in Museums, tells The Art Newspaper that UK museums are suffering more than their counterparts in mainland Europe.
