Off the coast of Colombia beneath the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea, a unique art installation is emerging as a beacon of hope for threatened coral ecosystems. Crafted by artisans Hugo Osorio and Pedro Fuentes, this underwater sculpture gallery located near Isla Fuerte is not just a visual spectacle but also a vital sanctuary for marine life.

Comprising 25 intricately designed figures each standing at a height of 1.5 meters, the gallery serves as an artificial reef offering refuge to corals endangered by the impacts of tourism and climate change. These sculptures placed strategically at a depth of approximately six meters provide an ideal substrate for coral growth attracting a diverse array of marine inhabitants from colourful fish to curious divers.
