Arleta Triangle reenergized by ‘Arts and Crafts Kaleidoscope’
Throughout the summer, the “Arleta Triangle” – a community space in the northeast corner of Woodstock Boulevard and S.E. 72nd Avenue, in the Mt. Scott-Arleta neighborhood – has again been hosting an artisan’s marketplace on the second weekend of each month. It will happen again on August 10-11, and you’re invited to come by.
The new organizers of its art market and showcase have christened it the Arleta Triangle Arts and Crafts Kaleidoscope, as they carry on hosting a marketplace for artisans whose products don’t “fit” in farmers markets or other places.

The upcoming UK City of Culture was chosen to host the artwork by Palestinian artist Basel Zaraa in Bowling Park in June 2025.

Future generation – schools given opportunity to shine with Drax’s 50th anniversary art competition
- Schoolchildren are being invited by Drax to submit their designs for a poster that visualises the energy industry workers of the 21st century
- Winners will see their designs showcased at the power station’s history display, as part of its golden anniversary celebrations.
