Founder, Mitch Cohen, shares how the First Saturday Arts Market has evolved into a vibrant hub for visual artists, attracting attendees from across the city.

First Saturday Arts Market is Houston’s original monthly outdoor art market and celebrated 20 years in business, March 2, 2024. Since its establishment in 2004, First Saturday Arts Market has provided a platform for artists to showcase their work on a monthly basis, pioneering the concept of regular outdoor art events in Houston.

A complete artist roster is updated monthly on the website. A food truck is on site each month and local musicians often perform original music.

The next First Saturday Arts Market in the heights will be on April 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
