Superstar of Australian art Emily Kam Kngwarray to get Tate Modern show in 2025
The first large-scale European presentation of art by the Australian Indigenous painter Emily Kam Kngwarray will open at Tate Modern in London in 2025.
Tate Modern and the National Gallery of Australia will collaborate closely on the London show, according to their respective directors Karin Hindsbo and Nick Mitzevich.
Children and young people will have an opportunity to see their creations displayed digitally in an exhibition at one of Scotland’s national galleries.
The 2025 Worcester 100 Open Art Exhibition will be held at the Artery Gallery, Croft Walk, from Saturday 8 to Saturday, March 15.
The free event will showcase a range of artistic styles, including paintings, prints, photography, and sculptures.
Opening times will vary throughout the week.

Three in five small UK museums and galleries fear closure amid declining revenue, new research suggests
Three in five small museums and galleries in the UK fear closure amid declining revenue and footfall, research published this week suggests. The survey of 40 small, independent attractions—those with fewer than 100,000 annual visitors—also found that four in five (78%) reported the current period as the most challenging the sector has faced, while over half (58%) said overall income has not returned to its pre-Covid levels.
The research, conducted by the cloud platform GoDaddy in partnership with the charity Kids in Museums, surveyed small museums as well as galleries, historic buildings and heritage sites. Alison Bowyers, the executive director of Kids in Museums, tells The Art Newspaper that UK museums are suffering more than their counterparts in mainland Europe.
