Mighty But Muted, NFT Crowd Attempts Recovery After Crypto Crash

There were thousands of bullseyes on the Tyler Hobbs paintings and another hundred on the artist’s back. But if the packed celebration on Thursday night for his latest exhibition was any indication, he may outlast the flagging NFT industry and its notorious association with the many crypto hucksters now facing bankruptcies and arrest.

“It’s just wonderful to be here,” Hobbs said during a reception for his latest Pace Gallery show, which runs through April 22. He was wearing a shirt with bullseyes that mimicked the computer-generated patterns painted on nearly a dozen paneled works with a mechanical plotter tool.

Keswick gallery selected to host prestigious Secret Art Show

Keswick has been chosen as the venue for the first event to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Lakes Artists Society.

Northern Lights has sponsored a prize at the society’s annual summer exhibition for several years and it will host its first secret art show at its gallery in St John’s Street.

Light show marks National Gallery’s 200th year

The National Gallery has celebrated its bicentenary with a light show projected on the front of its central London home.

The display formed part of celebrations commemorating 200 years since the institution first opened. 

Throughout the year, the gallery will be holding events celebrating its past and looking forward to its future, including art installations across the UK, collaborations with social media creators and a free festival of art in Trafalgar Square in the summer for children and families.
