London street artist is behind the new Banksy-style artwork at Seven Stories in Newcastle
A London artist is behind the Banksy-style artwork which caused a stir when it appeared on a children’s book museum in Newcastle earlier this week.
The artwork, which appears to show a girl drawing a heart, was first noticed on the Seven Stories building on Lime Street in Ouseburn on Thursday. It was spotted by staff when they arrived for work.
People were left wondering whether the art had been created by Banksy. The famous street artist, whose real name and identity remains unconfirmed, began a series of ‘Girl with Balloon’ murals in London in 2002.

James Peak, who created the BBC Radio 4 series The Banksy Story, rushed to see the work after receiving a tip-off.
