Baku Modern Art Museum displays art pieces by eminent sculptor [PHOTOS]
The Baku Modern Art Museum has presented a solo exhibition by eminent sculptor Rahib Garayev.
People’s Artist Heydar Aliyev Order laureate, academician Omer Eldarov, who spoke at the event, emphasised that every exhibition is a premiere and a celebration for the artist, Azernews reports.
Stating that the event will have a great resonance among the public, the academician said:
“For the author, this exhibition is a historical event. There are many interesting works in the exhibition. This will remain an event in cultural life, in our visual arts.”
Rector of the Azerbaijan Academy of Arts, People’s Artist Natig Aliyev, pointed out that opening an individual exhibition is a very responsible and hard-working task. According to him, the sculptor has created a magnificent palette that combines different colours.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy is set to make the announcement on Thursday, including a 5% budget increase for all national museums and art galleries.
She is expected to use a speech in Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, to announce a new £270 million Arts Everywhere Fund to help organisations in urgent need of financial support.
Five museums in Yorkshire have been awarded funding as part of a £270m investment in arts and culture in the UK.
The Museum of North Craven Life, in Settle, will receive almost £800,000, while the Land of Iron, in Skinningrove, will be given almost £656,000.
Millennium Gallery, in Sheffield, will be awarded £315,000, the Bankfield Museum in Halifax, is to receive £442,000 and the Beck Isle Museum, in Pickering, will receive almost £400,000.
