FELIX LA ART FAIR (OPENING NIGHT)
Felix LA, the avant-garde art fair, will take place at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel from February 28-March 3, 2024, featuring artwork from over 60 galleries from around the world. For its sixth edition, the fair will showcase over 60 galleries and present an exciting fashion-meets-art collaboration with global retailer Dover Street Market and artist Oscar Tuazon, where visitors can shop a fully-realized DSM store featuring its iconic brands on-site.
Felix LA is a cornerstone of Los Angeles’s cultural landscape, annually bringing emerging and established galleries from across the globe to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel since 2019. Inspired by the hotel art fair format popularized in the mid-90s, Felix LA emerged as a distinctive event, intentionally designed to avoid the typical trade show atmosphere with its relaxed and experimental feel. The fair’s mission is to cultivate an intimate experience that prioritizes connoisseurship, collaboration, and community, while providing galleries with an efficient exhibition platform and granting visitors an elevated experience.

Three passionate Lancaster based freelance artists, Hannah Corbett, Lidia Ranns, and Julie Evans, are uniting their creative forces to transform the city into a vibrant hub of artistic expression with the expanded Lancaster Art Fair (LAF), running from August 19th to 23rd, 2025.
This year, LAF is evolving into a larger, city wide festival, thanks to their dedicated collaboration and partnerships with established local arts organisations.

On the plane back from Miami, I add up expenses versus income from this year’s Untitled Art Fair. It is our third year here, and our first bust. As a small Midwestern gallery, two major art fairs a year — Untitled in Miami and the Outsider Art Fair in New York — can generate a quarter of our annual income. Even more importantly, they help us develop a national collector base for regional artists. There is no other way to survive.
It is expensive to participate in more selective and carefully curated international fairs, such as Untitled. Our three-walled, 14 x 14-foot space cost $17,400. Housing for the staff, transportation, food, and additional framing rounded out the total to about $30,000.
