Asma Akber’s solo exhibition: An affair of vivid hues and enigmatic shapes
Syeda Asma Akber is a self-taught painter, but this description hardly does justice to her creative talents. Her connection to art seems to have been established in her early years. As a painter, she explores non-figurative, mostly non-objective, and naturist themes. Asma’s work is deeply rooted in physiological experiments, incorporating elements of illusion and emotion.
Her use of colour is rich, expressive, and evocative of nostalgia. Through her personal techniques, she skillfully captures the play of light and the essence of nature in her paintings. Drawing inspiration from her vivid imagination, nurtured over many years, she delves into life’s eternal truths and reminisces about her childhood.

Dove si disseta l’anima mia, Chris Rocchegiani’s solo exhibition
At the end of August, DIMORA inaugurated the exhibition Dove si disseta l’anima mia, a solo show dedicated to the artist Chris Rocchegiani, curated by Erica Massaccesi and accompanied by a text by Giacomo Pigliapoco. The title of the exhibition, Dove si disseta l’anima mia, evokes an intimate and introspective vision of the concept of illusion and the relationship between reality and imagination, while also paying homage to a private writing by the curator’s grandmother, as noted in the curatorial text:

David Roberts, (born 1986 in Kenya) is a painter and printmaker. Inspired by the dramatic and wild landscapes of his childhood, David’s artworks focus on the fleeting patterns, light and interactions of the natural world.
Nostalgia is about unnatural events in the natural world. Roberts’ work preserves both memory and subject, however fleeting. His technique is a microscopic examination of nature’s own artwork.
