Modernism Week Student Projects Displayed At Palm Springs Art Museum Exhibition
In a tribute to Palm Springs Art Museum’s exhibition of Albert Frey, students showed off their incredibly work at their gymnasium for visitors this afternoon.
Alongside these models were paintings depicting Frey’s designs created by the seventh grade class.
The school’s Modernism projects were all made possible from in-class instruction and workshops from the Palm Springs Modern Committee’s Education Committee.
Brad Dunning, curator of the Museum’s Albert Frey exhibition, provided special instructions for students focused on Frey’s important work, especially in Palm Springs.
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy is set to make the announcement on Thursday, including a 5% budget increase for all national museums and art galleries.
She is expected to use a speech in Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, to announce a new £270 million Arts Everywhere Fund to help organisations in urgent need of financial support.
Five museums in Yorkshire have been awarded funding as part of a £270m investment in arts and culture in the UK.
The Museum of North Craven Life, in Settle, will receive almost £800,000, while the Land of Iron, in Skinningrove, will be given almost £656,000.
Millennium Gallery, in Sheffield, will be awarded £315,000, the Bankfield Museum in Halifax, is to receive £442,000 and the Beck Isle Museum, in Pickering, will receive almost £400,000.

brand-new private museum to its ranks – PoMo, short for Post Office Modern. Its mission is to make art more accessible, challenge gender inequality in collections, and boost the region’s cultural scene.
Set in an Art Nouveau building that used to serve as the city’s post office, PoMo spans five floors and 4,000 square metres. The space is a product of the vision and personal art collection of Monica Reitan and Ole Robert Reitan, who’ve spent over two decades collecting works from artists like Simone Leigh, Louise Bourgeois, Anne Imhof, and Franz West. Ole Robert, who’s also a co-owner of the Norwegian retail and finance giant Reitan AS, believes art should be for everyone
