China’s Chengdu bewitches onlookers with its Metaverse District
Chinese have always advocated and fostered innovation, progress, and evolution. China’s Chengdu brought this to light once more with the opening of the Metaverse District on Jiarozi Avenue, which bewitched onlookers.
The inauguration event was lavish and opulent, culminating in a virtual spectacle and a dazzling light show. The attendees were witnesses to this dazzling wonder as the metaverse was finally augmented into traditional commerce.
The ceremony began with a luminescent display and virtual jousting
The Tianfu Towers, which stand with their heads held high, canvassed the sky with a stupendous 360-degree light display. The eclectic elements were interspersed with sound, transitioning the buildings into murals that evoked more than 400 New Year wishes from Chengdu citizens.
The metaverse is a world of near-endless potential, albeit a virtual one, and many innovators are finding new ways to use this technology. One of those innovators is Sansar, a social virtual reality/metaverse platform that enables users to embark on their next great virtual adventure.
While many have seen the metaverse and the technology that supports it — like virtual reality and augmented reality (AR/VR) — primarily through the lens of entertainment, the implications of this technology are far more wide-reaching. It’s not just games or even gamified exercises. With recent technological developments, the metaverse has established itself as the future of both leisure and work, giving users a tremendous opportunity to connect and explore in a virtual world.
